NTPA students “Explore” their artistic journey through a dynamic and rigorous curriculum designed to unleash and then support the student’s passion and understanding in theatre, dance, acting, voice, video, technical theater and other training.

The Academy Class Offerings are open to all participants within the age limitations outlined (limits on class size and prerequisites may apply) and are taught by trained professionals with degrees in their fields. These classes may last between 50-80 minutes and many class offerings are contributory to an NTPA Academy Certification.

For those students with a desire to advance their studies, the NTPA Academy offers a two and four-year certification program that will enhance their high school transcript, college applications and professional auditions and interviews. This certificate acknowledges and documents the completion of a body of work that includes classroom, intern, and performance requirements to achieve recognition in the defined certification.

Certifications

The North Texas Performing Arts Academy Certificate of Completion is available to students that fulfill a defined course of study in the following areas. Most courses in each study area consist of sixteen-week programs of between 50-80 minutes meeting once or twice weekly with minimum requirements for attendance and testing. Intersession and accelerated classes may also be offered.

The classes required for certification may be changed and upgraded as recommended by the NTPA Academy Board of Directors and approved by the Governing Board of Directors.
